Sheilah Gashumba is drawing a line under her Luganda interviews.
The Ugandan media personality says she plans to conduct her future interviews exclusively in English, arguing that switching between Luganda and English has repeatedly caused people to misunderstand what she is trying to say.
Speaking during a TikTok Live, Sheilah explained that English is the language in which she feels more comfortable expressing herself.
“Because I’m speaking two different languages, one that I know properly and one that I’m not so good at, people misunderstand what I say,” she said. “So I think the next interviews I’m gonna do are gonna be only English interviews.”

The decision comes after a particularly high-profile interview with fellow media personality Kasuku, during which Sheilah discussed her relationship with Alex Bidandi and responded to allegations made by NRG Radio presenter Evelyn Mic.
That conversation quickly became a major talking point online, with Sheilah and Evelyn Mic becoming involved in a public feud.
The dispute escalated when Sheilah claimed she could have Evelyn fired from NRG Radio. Evelyn, according to the supplied material, dared Sheilah to take up the challenge.
The situation has since appeared to cool, with neither woman making fresh major statements about the feud.
But Sheilah’s latest comments suggest the experience has also made her rethink how she handles interviews.

Rather than switching between two languages and risking her words being interpreted differently, she now wants to keep things straightforward by speaking English during future media appearances.
Her decision has already attracted attention online, with a TikTok post highlighting her vow prompting playful reactions from viewers.
For Sheilah, the message is simple: if speaking English gives her greater control over how her words are understood, that is the language she intends to use going forward.
