American singer and actor Tyrese Gibson has arrived in Uganda, touching down at Entebbe International Airport on Tuesday morning for a series of activities linked to the country’s tourism industry.
The Fast & Furious star was welcomed by representatives from the Uganda Tourism Board, Talent Africa Group and other officials. With the Ugandan flag draped around his shoulders, Gibson appeared visibly excited as he greeted those waiting for him.
The actor and musician also expressed his excitement about returning to the Pearl of Africa, marking his second visit to Uganda.
Gibson first visited the country in 2012, making his latest arrival a return 14 years after his initial trip.
This time around, his visit is tied to tourism promotion and activities aimed at showcasing Uganda to a wider international audience.

Gibson also indicated on Instagram that he is looking forward to learning more about Uganda, exploring the country and experiencing its culture and people.
His visit is not expected to be limited to tourism activities, either.

The American star is also expected to perform at the Coffee Concert later this year, with the event scheduled for October 3 in Ntungamo.
The upcoming appearance gives Ugandan fans another reason to watch Gibson’s return, particularly after his enthusiastic reception at Entebbe.
For now, Gibson appears ready to make the most of his second Ugandan adventure—this time with music, tourism and a closer look at the culture of the Pearl of Africa all on the itinerary.
