Ugandan pop star Vinka has set the record straight on the ongoing debate about her alleged dominance at Swangz Avenue, making it clear that there’s no competition among her labelmates — just strategy and teamwork.

The “One Bite” hitmaker appeared on Sanyuka TV, where she addressed online chatter claiming she’s being “fronted” more than fellow Swangz artists Azawi, Winnie Nwagi, Zafaran, and Elijah Kitaka.

🎤 “We All Have Our Own Plan” — Vinka Speaks Out

Vinka didn’t mince words as she dismissed the rumors, explaining that every artist under the label has their own timeline, marketing plan, and creative goals, all mapped out at the start of the year.

“When the year starts, every one of us has their plan,” she said. “So if you say one is being fronted more, that’s how it was planned.”

The singer emphasized that the team at Swangz Avenue operates on structure, not favoritism — something she believes fans and critics often misunderstand.

“People create comparisons out of nowhere,” she continued. “At Swangz, we work as a team. There’s no such thing as who’s being favored — we just follow the label’s strategy.”

💅 On Her Lifestyle and Finances

Beyond the music, Vinka also addressed another popular assumption — that she lives a more luxurious lifestyle than her colleagues.

The mother and wife made it clear that her success comes with responsibility, and she’s intentional about managing her finances.

“I live a normal life,” she explained. “I’m a family woman, and I plan carefully. I have a home and a family to look after, so I’m very mindful about how I handle money.”

The label currently boasts a roster of chart-topping artists including:

  • Winnie Nwagi – The powerhouse vocalist known for her unapologetic confidence and bold stage presence.
  • Azawi – The Afropop star behind multiple hits and a growing international fan base.
  • Elijah Kitaka – The versatile singer-songwriter bringing a new edge to the Ugandan R&B scene.
  • Zafaran – The rising star who’s quickly earning attention with her soulful voice and fashion flair.
  • Vinka – The energetic performer and hitmaker whose danceable sound continues to dominate playlists.

Vinka said she’s proud to be part of such a powerhouse lineup and believes that each artist brings something unique to Uganda’s fast-evolving music landscape.

“We all shine differently,” she said with a smile. “Nwagi brings fire, Azawi brings soul, Zafaran is fresh and classy, Kitaka has a vibe — I bring energy. We’re all stars in our own ways.”

🚀 A Year of Wins for Vinka

Vinka’s 2025 is shaping up to be one of her most successful years yet. With multiple charting singles, brand endorsements, and high-energy performances across Africa, she’s showing no signs of slowing down.

But according to her, it’s all part of the plan — not a product of favoritism.

❤️ Team Spirit Above All

As for the rumors of competition within Swangz Avenue? Vinka says that couldn’t be further from the truth.

“We support each other,” she said firmly. “If Nwagi drops a new video, I share it. If Azawi releases something, we celebrate. There’s no hate — we’re family.”

Her message to fans was simple: focus on the music, not the drama.

“We’re all doing great things for Ugandan music,” she concluded. “That’s what matters.”
