Pastor Wilson Bugembe is asking people to stop worrying about his unmarried status, saying he believes he still has decades ahead of him to find a wife and have children.
The Light the World Church lead pastor addressed the concerns during an appearance on Sanyuka TV, where he spoke about people who fear he could die without having biological children.
Bugembe’s remarks came amid discussions following the death of King Oyo, who reportedly passed away without any officially known children.
According to the pastor, some people have started worrying that he could face a similar situation if he does not settle down and start a family.
But Bugembe insists there is no need for alarm.
“People are worried that I might die without having a child, but I promise you, God willing, I’m not going to die anytime soon,” he said.
The pastor added that he believes he still has approximately 40 to 50 years left to live, suggesting that he has plenty of time to consider marriage and fatherhood.

His comments offer a response to the recurring public questions about when he intends to get married, particularly given his long-standing position as one of Uganda’s prominent gospel music figures and church leaders.
Bugembe has previously spoken about wanting a wife and children, making it clear that remaining single does not necessarily mean he has abandoned the idea of building a family.
In July last year, he reportedly expressed hope that his next major event would be his wedding. The remark raised the possibility that he could eventually take that step, although he has not announced a wedding date in the information available.
The pastor has also indicated that repeated questions about his relationship status have bothered him over the years, reflecting the attention his private life continues to attract.
For now, Bugembe’s latest comments suggest he is not treating his current circumstances as a reason to panic. He remains hopeful about the future while asking those concerned about his marital status to be patient.
Whether marriage is on the immediate horizon remains unclear, but Bugembe’s message is that he believes he still has time to make that decision.
