Pastor Wilson Bugembe says he never took Pastor Aloysius Bugingo’s past attacks on fellow pastors personally, arguing that he has seen a very different side of Bugingo away from the public spotlight.
Bugembe, the pastor of Worship House Church in Nansana, said his relationship with Bugingo has remained good despite a period when the House of Prayer Ministries leader was known for criticizing other pastors, including Bugembe.
According to Bugembe, those public comments did not define the person he came to know privately.

“There is a season when he used to attack us fellow pastors, not just me, pretty much every pastor—but I don’t think it was personal,” Bugembe said.
The singer and pastor explained that his interactions with Bugingo outside the public stage have shaped his view of him. He described Bugingo as “a very good man” and praised several qualities he says he has observed in their relationship.
“He is generous, kind, faithful, prayerful, knows the Bible, and loves people,” Bugembe said.
Bugembe also highlighted practical support he says Bugingo has offered him and his ministry. He noted that although they do not own a television station, Bugingo has provided them with free advertising on his TV.

“It’s a good relationship I have with Pastor Bugingo; he has helped me do so many things. We don’t own a TV, but he gives us free adverts on his TV,” he said.
Bugembe’s comments offer a look at a relationship that has evolved despite their past differences. The two pastors have in recent years been seen working together on different projects, reflecting the relationship Bugembe says they now share.
For Bugembe, the distinction is simple: he says he chooses to relate to people based on who they are away from the public stage, rather than judging them solely by what they say in it.
