Ugandan singer Bruno K has opened up about experiencing an emotional breakdown, saying the weight of constantly listening to other people’s problems has begun taking a toll on him.
The singer made the candid revelation while explaining that even people close to him may not fully understand what he is currently going through.
“I’m being open but not even my friends can understand what I’m going through. I’m breaking down emotionally,” Bruno K said.

According to the singer, the strain is not necessarily coming from a specific personal problem. Instead, he says he has been affected by the emotional burden of repeatedly listening to people who turn to him for support and guidance.
That responsibility, he explained, can become stressful when someone is continually absorbing other people’s struggles without having an outlet to process the weight themselves.
Bruno K went on to make a direct appeal for professional support.
“If there’s anybody out there and you’re a good therapist and can gently talk to people, I need you to help me because I’m going through a mental breakdown,” he said.
He then explained the source of the pressure more directly: “It’s not that I’m going through anything, but listening to people’s problems can stress you.”
The comments offer a glimpse into the emotional pressure that can come with being the person others repeatedly turn to when they need someone to listen. Bruno K’s disclosure also makes clear that offering support to others does not necessarily mean someone is immune from needing support themselves.
His request for a therapist comes as he openly acknowledges that he needs someone who can help him process what he has been carrying.
For Bruno K, the message is simple but significant: sometimes, the person everyone comes to for help also needs someone willing to listen.
