Weasel Manizo has weighed in on Kid Fox’s recent comments about fellow Ugandan musicians, advising the returning singer to show more respect to veterans such as Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool.
Kid Fox, who recently returned to Uganda after spending years in the diaspora, has attracted attention with his blunt remarks about the local music industry. In a recent interview, he appeared to suggest that he did not know Bobi Wine.
The comments drew criticism from social media users, who questioned why Kid Fox would seemingly dismiss Bobi Wine, whose career and public profile have gained significant recognition over the years.
Weasel has now joined the conversation, arguing that Kid Fox has been away from Uganda for too long and may not fully appreciate how much the country’s entertainment industry has changed during his absence.
The Goodlyfe singer pointed to his own journey as an example, saying that even he has moved from the circumstances Kid Fox would have known before leaving Uganda.
“You have been gone for too long, and people now own mansions and drive G-Wagons. Even Weasel, whom you left broke, now owns a V8 and a mansion.”

Weasel went on to directly advise Kid Fox against taking shots at established musicians.
“Kid Fox, I advise you to understand that this is a concrete jungle. Stop undermining Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine, especially Bobi Wine, because he is no longer in our league. Spare him; don’t involve him in your insults.”
He added a particularly pointed remark about Kid Fox’s knowledge of Bobi Wine, saying that failing to recognise him would also reflect a lack of awareness about Uganda’s entertainment landscape.
“If you don’t know him well, then you don’t even know your own mother.”
Weasel’s comments add another voice to the growing discussion surrounding Kid Fox’s return and his outspoken assessment of the Ugandan music scene.
After years away, Kid Fox is finding that the industry he left behind has continued to evolve — and some of the artists he once knew are now operating from very different positions.
For Weasel, that is exactly why Kid Fox needs to understand the new landscape before taking aim at the veterans who remained part of it.
