Ugandan socialite and media personality Bad Black — real name Shanitah Namuyimbwa — has stirred social media with her emotional and rather strict burial wishes.

While mourning the recent passing of fellow socialite Sophie Kirabo and singer Olisha M, Bad Black took to Snapchat to reflect on her own mortality and how she would want people to mourn her when her time comes.

“No Man Should Eat or Take Sugar on My Last Day”

In a deeply personal message, Bad Black said she wouldn’t want her final day to be treated like just another day of life and indulgence. Instead, she issued a set of symbolic instructions — one of which has shocked fans the most.

“No man should take sugar or eat on my last day — not even my three sons. As long as they have balls and Dickson, even my husband,” she wrote.

Her statement quickly drew reactions online, with many questioning her reasoning, while others interpreted it as a gesture of deep emotional pain and reflection on loyalty, love, and legacy.

A Plea Against Selfie Culture at Funerals

Bad Black also urged her followers to resist the growing trend of turning funerals into social media events. She said she doesn’t want her burial to become a photo opportunity or content for likes and views.

“Please, I don’t want people taking selfies or creating content at my funeral,” she said, asking for respect and solemnity when that time comes.

The socialite emphasized that her death — whenever it may come — should be a moment of silence, reflection, and respect, not spectacle.

Fans React to Her Emotional Reflection

Fans and followers flooded her comment sections with mixed reactions. Some described her request as “dramatic but heartfelt,” while others praised her for speaking her truth during a time when the entertainment world is mourning multiple losses.

The emotional outburst comes just days after the tragic deaths of businesswoman Sophie Kirabo and singer Olisha M, both of whom were well-known figures in Uganda’s social and entertainment circles. Their passing appears to have prompted Bad Black to think deeply about how people are remembered after they’re gone.

A Reminder of Life’s Fragility

Despite her often flamboyant and outspoken personality, this latest message from Bad Black reveals a more vulnerable side — one that is reflective, spiritual, and emotional.

Her words serve as a reminder that even those who live boldly in the public eye carry deep thoughts about how they wish to be remembered.

“Celebrate Me, But Respectfully”

While she didn’t specify whether she wanted a grand or private ceremony, the essence of her message was clear: she wants respect, dignity, and sincerity on her final day.

And in true Bad Black fashion, she made sure her words left a lasting impact — bold, unapologetic, and uniquely her.
