Ritah Danchall is opening up about the financial reality of trying to establish herself as a musician after making the switch from dancing to music.
The dancer-turned-musician says the transition has not been easy, particularly because she feels she has yet to receive full acceptance as an artist in the music industry.
Speaking to Galaxy TV, Ritah revealed that she has been forced to spend heavily on promoting her music and building her career, with much of the financial responsibility falling directly on her.
“Money is going a lot and I have to save first because I don’t have a manager or a sponsor,” Ritah said.
Without a manager or sponsor to help shoulder the costs, she says saving enough money to keep her music career moving has become one of the most challenging parts of the journey.
The financial pressure comes as Ritah continues trying to establish an identity beyond her previous career as a dancer.
Her decision to focus on music has required her to invest in promotion and other career activities, even as she works to convince audiences and the wider industry to see her as a musician.
Still, Ritah is not giving up.
She believes persistence can eventually turn the difficult early stages of her career into a breakthrough, maintaining that those who refuse to quit are ultimately the ones who have a chance to succeed.
“You never know, those who persist are the ones who win,” she said.
Ritah also admitted that she would like to find a manager who can provide financial support for her career, but she is prepared to wait for the right opportunity rather than force the situation.
“I’d wish to get a manager in terms of money but I’ll wait for my opportunity,” she added.
Ritah’s comments highlight the often-overlooked financial demands facing emerging musicians, particularly artists attempting to build careers without management or sponsorship backing.
For now, she appears determined to keep investing in herself and trust that persistence will eventually bring the support and recognition she is looking for.
