Eddy Kenzo is pushing back against claims linking him to a payment dispute involving TikTokers who say they are owed money for work done during the NRM campaigns.
Kenzo dismissed the allegations and argued that people within Bebe Cool’s Gagamel camp are bringing his name into the controversy because they see him as influential and potentially threatening.
According to Kenzo, dragging him into the dispute only serves to shift attention away from the TikTokers who are demanding payment.
“You all know Bebe Cool and how he does his things. He’s someone who connects deals to make something work, so I think he’s trying to make this noise and not pay those young people because if you drag Kenzo into the mess, the issues of those people become small,” he said.
Kenzo went further, describing himself as Bebe Cool’s “biggest nightmare” and suggesting that his influence makes him an easy target whenever controversy involving the Gagamel camp emerges.
But Kenzo insisted he does not want to be pulled into the dispute.
He called the accusations “nonsense” and said his attention is currently on his music rather than the latest controversy.
Kenzo also acknowledged that he and Bebe Cool had disagreements during the NRM campaign period, particularly over media coverage of their performances.
He said they had initially agreed that Bebe Cool would handle media and national artists while Kenzo focused on regional artists.
According to Kenzo, tensions emerged after Bebe Cool allegedly instructed media teams to stop recording his campaign performances.
“We had agreed with Bebe Cool that he handles media and national artists and I’ll handle regional artists, but I was shocked when he told the media to stop recording my performances during campaigns, so we had to come back and get our own media,” Kenzo said.
Kenzo maintained that the disagreement was dealt with at the time and should not now be used to connect him to the TikTokers’ payment claims.
For now, his position is straightforward: whatever history he had with Bebe Cool during the campaigns is in the past, and he does not consider himself part of the current payment dispute.
