Martha Mukisa has made her position on having a co-wife clear, saying she would not be comfortable sharing her man with another woman.
Speaking to Shalom 256, the Ugandan singer was asked whether she could accept having a co-wife but quickly ruled out the arrangement.
Martha explained that the idea does not sit well with her personally, regardless of how such a relationship might work in practice.
“I can’t cook with my co-wife because inside my heart I don’t want it.”
Her response came as she discussed the possibility of sharing a husband with another woman.
However, when asked whether she could accept children fathered by her man with another woman, Martha did not give a definitive answer.
Instead, she said she would first have to find herself in that situation before deciding how she would respond.
The singer’s comments come months after she publicly opened up about her changing views on marriage.
Earlier this year, Martha took to TikTok to reveal that she had previously taken the idea of having a formal wedding for granted.
She said that after giving birth, however, she began to appreciate the importance of settling down in marriage and having what she described as a colourful wedding ceremony.
Martha has also previously spoken about her hopes for marriage and family, making her latest comments another glimpse into the kind of relationship arrangement she would personally be comfortable with.
For now, her position is clear on one point: Martha Mukisa does not want to share her husband with a co-wife.
