Uganda Waragi has announced its support for 2 Kings One Mic, a comedy event bringing together veteran comedian Patrick “Salvado” Idringi and Dr. Hillary Okello for a joint show at Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday, October 23, 2026.
The event will place two of Uganda’s recognised stand-up comedians on the same stage following public discussions and comparisons of their different comedic styles.
Through the partnership, Uganda Waragi is positioning the show as a celebration of Ugandan humour, local talent and the ability of comedy to bring audiences together.
Speaking at the announcement, Roy Tumwizere, Senior Brand Manager for Mainstream Spirits at Uganda Breweries Limited, said the partnership reflects the brand’s association with Ugandan culture and entertainment.
“Uganda Waragi is built on celebrating what makes us uniquely Ugandan like our warmth and our unmatched sense of humor. We are proud to support Salvado and Dr. Hillary Okello together on one stage in a celebration of the Spirit of Laughter that defines us,” Tumwizere said.
Uganda Waragi Continues Its Comedy Partnership
The brand has an established association with Uganda’s comedy scene, including its long-standing partnership with Salvado’s Africa Laughs.
Last year’s seventh edition of Africa Laughs marked Salvado’s 15-year milestone in the entertainment industry, continuing a relationship between the comedian and the brand.
Uganda Waragi said its support for 2 Kings One Mic builds on that history, using comedy as a platform for celebrating local creativity and bringing people together through shared entertainment.
The upcoming show also brings together two performers whose different approaches to comedy have attracted public attention. Rather than featuring a single headliner, the event gives audiences an opportunity to experience both comedians during the same programme.
Janzi Band to Perform at the Event
Alongside the headline comedy sets, 2 Kings One Mic will feature music from Janzi Band and curtain-raising performances before Salvado and Dr. Hillary take the stage for their individual sets.
Organisers have scheduled the event for Kampala Serena Hotel, with gates opening at 5:00 PM.
