Ugandan fashion mogul Abryanz Ahumuza has sparked speculation about a possible conversion to Islam after welcoming three Muslim clerics to his new shop, but his announcement of a fashion collection designed exclusively for Muslim clients is the clearest development to emerge from the meeting.
The fashionista hosted Sheik Kiti, Sheik Mafo and Sheik Fahad during a Daawa visit, where they reportedly exchanged ideas, discussed future projects and explored opportunities to build stronger relationships through faith and business.
Abryanz expressed gratitude for their visit and complimented the clerics on their appearance. He also revealed plans to create a dedicated fashion collection for the Muslim community, with designs expected to be ready ahead of the next Eid celebrations.
“I’m just so happy and blessed to have you guys around. I thank you so much, guys, and you look so smart,” Abryanz said.

His comments about the visitors’ appearance were followed by a business announcement that could open a new lane for his fashion brand.
“The next Eid, I’m looking forward to setting up a collection of designs for Muslims only. I will look for the best materials from anywhere in the world and dress you, plus everything that is needed,” he added.
The plan involves sourcing premium materials internationally to create outfits tailored specifically for Muslim customers. However, the supplied information does not detail the collection’s designs, pricing, production schedule or whether it will be available beyond Uganda.
The announcement also places Abryanz’s relationship with the visiting clerics at the centre of public curiosity. Their meeting has prompted questions about whether the fashionista could be considering a change of religion, but there has been no direct statement from him confirming an intention to convert.
Hosting religious leaders and expressing enthusiasm about collaborating with the Muslim community do not, by themselves, establish a person’s religious beliefs or intentions.
For now, the clearest takeaway from the visit is Abryanz’s proposed move into Muslim-exclusive fashion, with the next Eid celebrations serving as the target for the collection.
If the plan comes together as announced, his new designs could give Muslim customers a dedicated fashion offering from one of Uganda’s recognised fashion personalities.
