Ugandan singer Grace Nakimera has received a major surprise, adding a brand-new luxury ride to what has already been a memorable year for the veteran entertainer.
The Kawonawo hitmaker was gifted a Mitsubishi Destinator SUV by Victoria Motors Limited during a handover ceremony on Saturday afternoon.
The singer reportedly struggled to believe her eyes as she received the vehicle’s keys, marking another major highlight in a year that has seen her return to the entertainment spotlight.
The gift, however, goes beyond personal recognition. Victoria Motors says the vehicle is intended to support Nakimera’s humanitarian activities through her Feed the Streets Foundation.
Speaking during the handover, Dickson Mwesigwa, Acting General Manager of Victoria Motors Limited, explained that the company wanted to make it easier for the singer to reach vulnerable communities across Uganda.
“Grace’s work is a compelling human story, and one Victoria Motors believes in. She is uplifting children, feeding families and putting young people back in school,” Mwesigwa said.
He added that the company was supporting her work by providing the means to reach the people and communities she serves.
“This Destinator is our contribution to her humanitarian work in Uganda, and the start of our journey with her,” he said.

A comeback year for Grace Nakimera
The new vehicle comes just months after Nakimera staged The Power of Grace Charity Concert, an event that marked a significant moment in her return to the mainstream music scene.
The concert brought attention back to the singer, whose catalogue includes popular songs such as Kawonawo, while also placing her charitable work at the centre of the occasion.
Through the Feed the Streets Foundation, Nakimera supports vulnerable communities through food initiatives and efforts to help children return to school.
Her outreach work takes her to families who may be difficult to reach, making reliable transportation an important part of delivering assistance.
That is where the Mitsubishi Destinator is expected to make a difference.
The SUV is Mitsubishi’s latest model, supplied and supported in Uganda by Victoria Motors Limited. The company says its partnership with Nakimera is intended to help strengthen the foundation’s ability to reach more people.
For the singer, the gift represents more than a new addition to her garage. It is also an investment in the humanitarian mission she continues to champion.
After a successful concert comeback and renewed public attention, Grace Nakimera now has another reason to celebrate in 2026.
