Ugandan rapper Big Tril — best known for his global hit “Parte After Parte” — is ready to make history with his first-ever major concert. The Hip Hop star has officially announced plans to host the event at the Kampala Serena Hotel, one of the country’s most prestigious venues.

The rapper, real name Rowland Kaiza, says the decision was inspired by the recent wave of successful Hip Hop concerts at the Serena, including Navio’s sold-out Orchestra Concert and Mun G’s show, both of which proved that Ugandan rap can dominate elite stages too.

“You don’t just do a concert,” Big Tril said. “I’m planning to release new music and then do a concert at Serena. Many people said Hip Hop doesn’t sell, but Mun G sold out and so did Navio, both at Serena, so I am next.”

A Bold Move for Ugandan Hip Hop

For years, Serena Hotel has been the go-to venue for Afrobeat, R&B, and traditional performances, but rarely a space for pure Hip Hop energy. Big Tril wants to change that narrative — and he’s doing it with confidence.

His goal isn’t just to perform; it’s to elevate Ugandan Hip Hop to new heights and inspire other rappers to aim for the same kind of prestige.

“It’s time for Hip Hop artists to consistently grace the Serena stage,” he emphasized. “The culture deserves that kind of recognition.”

With the growing influence of artists like Navio, Mun G, and Fik Fameica, Ugandan rap has been on a steady climb, gaining respect across both local and international audiences.

“Parte After Parte” Star Ready to Drop New Music

Before stepping on stage, Big Tril says he’s focused on dropping fresh material to give fans a complete experience — not just nostalgia from his hit songs, but a new chapter in his artistry.

“I’m planning to release new music first,” he explained. “Then I’ll follow it up with the concert. I want people to come and experience a new Big Tril — not just the guy from ‘Parte After Parte.’”

The rapper, who gained international fame after Parte After Parte went viral across Africa and beyond, has since been working quietly on projects that blend Afro-Hip Hop, street storytelling, and global sounds.

Why Serena? Big Tril Explains His Choice

For Big Tril, choosing Serena Hotel isn’t just about prestige — it’s about comfort, safety, and class.

“I just love Serena because even if it rains, people are inside and safe,” he said. “It’s a classy venue, and the soundproofing is great, so everyone gets to enjoy.”

Fans can expect a concert experience like no other — complete with live instrumentation, top-tier lighting, and guest performances from Uganda’s leading rappers and singers.

The Hip Hop Revival Movement

Big Tril’s announcement comes during what many call a revival period for Ugandan Hip Hop. Artists like Navio, The Mith, St. Nelly-Sade, and Flex D’Paper have been pushing for mainstream recognition and redefining what it means to be a rapper in Uganda.

Navio’s Orchestra Concert earlier this year served as a turning point, proving that Ugandan audiences are ready to support live rap shows in luxury venues.

Big Tril says he’s proud to be part of that wave — and determined to keep the fire burning.

“Ugandans still love Hip Hop. People say it doesn’t sell, but the fans have shown us otherwise,” he added. “It’s about giving them something worth paying for — quality music and an unforgettable experience.”

Fans React: “Tril’s About to Shut Serena Down!”

Social media has already erupted with excitement following the announcement, with fans and fellow artists flooding timelines with praise and anticipation.

“Big Tril doing Serena? That’s major! He deserves it,” one fan tweeted.

“This will be the Parte After Parte of all concerts,” another joked.

Some industry voices even predict that Tril’s Serena show could become one of Uganda’s most defining Hip Hop moments — cementing his legacy beyond the viral success of his breakout hit.

What’s Next for Big Tril

While no official date has been announced yet, sources close to the rapper say the concert is slated for 2025, giving him ample time to release new music and build hype.

The rapper has hinted that he’ll be collaborating with some of East Africa’s top producers and surprise guest performers for the show.

Fans can expect not just a concert — but a full celebration of Ugandan Hip Hop culture, style, and creativity.
