Ugandan recording artist Danra UG is celebrating a major international milestone after securing two nominations at the Zikomo Awards 2026 in Zambia.
The recognition comes just days after the singer released her latest Extended Play project, UnTamed, giving the new project an early boost on the regional awards circuit.
Danra has been nominated for Best New Artist of the Year and Best Album of the Year, with the latter nomination recognizing her UnTamed EP.
The singer has now turned to her fans and fellow music lovers for support as she bids to take home both awards.

“We have been nominated in the Zikomo Awards 2026 and we’re in two categories — Best New Artist of the Year and Best Album of the Year, and that’s the UnTamed EP. Please vote for me and let’s bring this home,” Danra said.
The Zikomo Awards nominations add to an increasingly promising run for the Ugandan artist, who has also picked up recognition outside the country.
A few months ago, Danra scooped awards in Rwanda during the Africa Content Creators Awards ceremony, further expanding her profile beyond Uganda.
Now, with two Zikomo Awards nominations under her belt, the singer will be looking to convert the latest recognition into more silverware.
For Danra, a potential double win would give UnTamed an even bigger spotlight while strengthening her growing presence on the regional music scene.
