Singer and songwriter Dokta Brain has offered a striking insight into his relationship with music, saying he would rather lose his sight than his ability to hear.
For Dokta Brain, the choice comes down to what he considers irreplaceable. He said he has already seen many beautiful things in life and believes those memories would remain with him even if he could no longer see.
“I would choose to lose my eyes because I believe I have seen many beautiful things and I can still close my eyes and see them,” he said.
Hearing, however, is different for the singer because sound is directly connected to the music he loves and the songwriting career he has built.
“But when I close my ears, I hear nothing. I wouldn’t live a life where I couldn’t hear music or make a song,” Dokta Brain explained.

He described sound as an essential part of his creative identity, saying the beauty of music is what continues to inspire and drive him.
“The beauty of sound is what keeps evolving in us, and I treasure that the most,” he said.
Dokta Brain also revealed that one of his biggest fears is not necessarily losing a physical ability, but losing the creative ability that has defined his career.
“I really fear the day I will wake up and cannot write a good song,” he said.
The singer described songwriting as something he feels destined to do and said the thought of no longer being able to create music is particularly difficult for him to imagine.

“I’m destined for this and do not wish to wake up and not write a good song. I’d rather not wake up at all,” he added.
His comments underline just how deeply Dokta Brain identifies with music. For him, hearing is not simply one of the senses—it is the gateway to the sound, creativity and songwriting that he considers central to his life.
And if forced to choose, he says he would give up sight before giving up music.
