Frank Malingumu Gashumba has revealed that he warned his wife and baby mama, Patience Mutoni Malaika, that he would leave if their relationship became a source of constant stress.
The political and social commentator said he wants his home to be a place of peace and comfort, particularly after dealing with pressure from work and business.
Gashumba explained that when he returns home after a demanding day, he wants to be able to relax rather than face additional pressure in his personal life.
“My dad warned me never to marry more than one wife, and I know what I went through. I can’t handle the stress that is brought by women,” Gashumba said.
“I even warned Malaika that if she stressed me, I would abandon her and go somewhere else. I want when I return home, I return to peace and comfort.”
He said his views on relationships have also been shaped by his father’s advice and his own past experiences.
For Gashumba, peace at home is not simply a preference but a central reason he says he chose to marry Malaika.
“A home must be a place where I can relax,” he said. “Even when I have some crimes I have committed. In our family, we always live long, so the 40 or 30 years I still have on earth, I want peace.”
He added: “The reason I got married to Malaika is peace. If she doesn’t bring me peace, I will leave.”
Gashumba also used a traditional title to describe his position within the household, saying, “When I’m home, I’m the Musuuga. If I leave, she is the deputy Musuuga.”
The commentator also spoke about his children, revealing that if he died today, he would have four known children.
Gashumba emphasized that Malaika knows all four of them and issued a pointed warning against anyone coming forward with an unverified claim about having children with him.
He maintained that his known number of children is four.
His comments put his views on domestic life, marriage and personal peace squarely on the record, with Gashumba making it clear that he considers a peaceful home essential to the life he wants to live.
