Patricia Rose Turindwamukama, popularly known as Gold Rose, has been further remanded to Luzira Prison as investigations continue into the death of content creator and waitress Jovia Namuwulya, also known as Jovia 1235.
Gold Rose appeared before the City Hall Magistrates Court on Tuesday, where she faced charges of murder and aggravated robbery alongside another suspect who remains at large.
According to the prosecution, Gold Rose and the unidentified suspect allegedly murdered Namuwulya and robbed her of several personal belongings.
The items allegedly taken include an iPhone 12 Pro Max, clothes, a bag and passport.
Gold Rose, however, was not allowed to enter a plea before the magistrate because murder and aggravated robbery are capital offences beyond the jurisdiction of the magistrates’ court.
The court subsequently ordered that she remain on remand at Luzira Prison until October 15, 2026, while police and other investigators continue their probe into the circumstances surrounding Namuwulya’s death.
The latest court appearance is another step in the ongoing investigation, with the prosecution yet to present the case for trial before a court with jurisdiction over the capital charges.
Gold Rose will return to court on October 15 for further developments in the case.
Namuwulya, who was known online as Jovia 1235, was a content creator and waitress whose death has drawn attention as investigators work to establish what happened and determine the circumstances surrounding her killing.
The allegations against Gold Rose remain allegations at this stage, and the court proceedings will determine the next steps in the case.
