Ugandan singer Jowy Landa has accused an unnamed artist manager of allegedly paying people in audiences to insult and embarrass her whenever she performs on stage.
The singer made the claims after a recent performance at Snap Lounge in Jinja, where she became involved in a heated exchange with a reveler in the crowd.
The confrontation attracted attention after Jowy reacted angrily to the audience member, with some fans reportedly taking issue with her language and tone.
Following the incident, the singer took to social media to apologise to her fans and anyone who was offended by her reaction. However, she also claimed that she had discovered what she believes was a deliberate attempt to disrupt her performances.

“So I just found out there’s someone’s manager paying and staging people to abuse me when I’m on stage… I promise you I will win regardless. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I love you my fans and sorry to my Jinja fans,” she wrote.
Jowy Landa also explained what led to the confrontation, pointing to technical problems during her performance.
According to her account, the sound kept cutting in and out because of an alleged problem with the DJ’s laptop. The interruptions reportedly affected the performance and left some people in the audience frustrated.
She claimed that one reveler eventually began insulting her and telling her to leave the stage.
Jowy, who maintains that she does not tolerate disrespect, responded to the individual in the heat of the moment. However, her reaction did not sit well with some fans, prompting her subsequent apology.
Her latest statement has introduced another dimension to the incident, with the singer alleging that the confrontation may have been part of a wider attempt to provoke her during performances.
So far, Jowy Landa has not publicly identified the artist manager she accused, named the alleged individuals involved or provided evidence to substantiate the claim. The manager and the artist whose team was allegedly involved have also not been identified in the supplied account.
For now, the singer has apologised to her Jinja audience while standing by her position that she will not be intimidated during performances.
