Ugandan musician Pretty Banks has officially announced her departure from Jeff Kiwa’s label Team No Sleep (TNS) after completing just two projects under the management. Fans and industry watchers had speculated about the split, and the singer recently shared her side of the story in an interview with Galaxy TV.

“Right now I’m on my own. I asked him to let me go. We had no issues, but I had my personal problems, and with my mum sick, I had to be on my own without pressure from management,” she explained.

Personal Challenges Prompt the Split

Pretty Banks revealed that her decision to leave TNS wasn’t due to conflict or disputes with Jeff Kiwa. Instead, personal issues demanded her full attention, making it difficult to juggle both her family responsibilities and the pressure to produce new music.

“He was funding me, and with that, I might have ended up disappointing him. The help he gave me was more than enough, and I cannot begin to measure it,” she said, emphasizing her gratitude for the support she received.

No Hard Feelings Toward Management

Contrary to rumors of tension, Pretty Banks clarified that she parted ways amicably. She credited Jeff Kiwa and TNS for helping her release two successful projects and for giving her the platform she needed to grow her career.

“I had my personal issues, but with the help of TNS, I got exactly what I hoped for,” she added.

Pretty Banks also discussed her approach to working with management, noting that finding people who share her vision is crucial. She admitted that in the past, she had worked with managers whose priorities didn’t align with hers, but she remains optimistic about future opportunities.

“People always approach, but I have to be careful. People have different visions, but if I get those who believe in me and are serious about my career, then that will be it,” she said.

She confirmed that she is currently in discussions with potential new management teams and will announce her next move once everything is finalized.
