PZ Cussons has appointed Growell Uganda Limited as the new distributor for its Imperial Leather and Venus Haircare brands in Uganda, in a move aimed at expanding their reach across the country.
The partnership was unveiled during a launch dinner on Saturday evening at Hotel Africana, bringing together media representatives, trade partners, salonists, retailers and content creators.
Under the new arrangement, Growell will immediately take over distribution of Imperial Leather and Venus Haircare, supplying products from major supermarkets in Kampala to smaller retail shops and salons across Uganda.
The partnership will also see Growell distribute other PZ Cussons brands, including Morning Fresh and Roberts, nationwide.
PZ Cussons used the launch to unveil its “Sticks With You” campaign for Imperial Leather, alongside new products designed to expand the brand’s range.
The additions include Imperial Leather body mists and exfoliating soaps. Venus Haircare also introduced the Venus Finishing Mousse and Venus Braid Spray, joining its existing Moisture Seal and Anti-Dandruff ranges.
“A brand is only as strong as the hands that carry it,” said Cynthia Abuti, Brand Manager for Haircare at PZ Cussons. “With Growell Uganda Limited as our distributor, we have a partner whose promise is right there in their name: great distribution.”
Abuti said the partnership is intended to make the brands available across different types of retail outlets, from major supermarkets to smaller shops and salons.
Growell General Manager Lorna Mwangi said the company is focused on providing reliable supply and wider market coverage for the PZ Cussons brands.

Retailers can also expect trade offers and continued product supply through Growell. A branded roadshow truck is set to take activations, offers and giveaways directly to markets in the coming days.

With the new partnership now in effect, the focus shifts to getting Imperial Leather and Venus Haircare products into more stores, salons and shopping baskets across Uganda.
