Winnie Nwagi has opened up about her relationship life, explaining why she has yet to settle down despite continued questions about her marital status.
Speaking on Sheebah Karungi’s podcast Let’s Talk About It, Nwagi said her relationships have not always developed the way she hoped, pointing to struggles that people outside the relationships may never see.
The singer explained that sometimes she needs time to understand the person she is dealing with, but patience can run out before things have had a chance to work.
“Sometimes you’re still analyzing someone and then they lose patience. Things aren’t right, they haven’t balanced well for me.”

Nwagi’s comments offer a glimpse into the personal challenges behind a relationship status that has often attracted public curiosity.
The singer also addressed perceptions about her personality, particularly the fear some people have when approaching her because of incidents in the past where she reacted angrily.
According to Nwagi, however, the way people approach her can influence how she responds.
She recalled an incident involving a woman who wanted to take a photo with her. Nwagi said she had overheard the woman’s friend warning her not to approach because she might be slapped.

“Someone walked up to me and wanted a photo, but I had heard her friend telling her not to come to me because I’d apparently slap her. She eventually came and asked, and I told her that’s not how to go about it because that triggered me and would make me end up being rude.”
Nwagi’s account suggests that while she is aware of the reputation surrounding her temperament, she believes interactions also depend on how people approach her.
For now, the singer appears comfortable acknowledging that her relationship journey has been complicated rather than forcing a timeline simply to satisfy public expectations.
