Prima Kardashi has revisited Lydia Jazmine’s early career, saying the singer had the potential to become one of Africa’s biggest stars and recalling advice she gave her about building businesses outside music.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session, Prima said she was one of Lydia Jazmine’s biggest fans around eight years ago because of what she saw as the singer’s potential.
According to Prima, Lydia Jazmine had the combination of music talent and physical attributes that she believed could help her become a major star on the continent.

She even compared the singer’s potential at the time to that of Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage, saying Jazmine could have followed a similar path.
“I see potential in people. Eight years ago, Lydia Jazmine had so much potential; she could easily have become another Tiwa Savage during those days when Bushingtone was her manager,” Prima said.
Prima said she viewed Jazmine as particularly promising during that period and believed the singer could have expanded her brand beyond music.

She recalled encouraging her to consider launching beauty products as well as a fitness clothing line, pointing to her appearance and public image as part of the potential she saw in her.
“She was really promising, and I remember telling her to make her own beauty products and fitness line because she had a good body and skin complexion. She has everything that takes to be a star,” she added.
Prima’s comments reflect her view that artists can strengthen their careers by developing businesses and personal brands alongside their music.
Her praise also revisits a period when she says she saw significant potential in Lydia Jazmine and believed the singer could grow into a major continental star.
For Prima, the singer’s talent was only part of the equation. She believed Lydia Jazmine also had the potential to build a wider lifestyle brand around her music career.
