Media personality Doreen Nasasira has shared her thoughts on the increasingly debated idea of 50-50 relationships, saying she would not adopt the arrangement with a man because she believes some men misunderstand what it should actually involve.
According to Doreen, 50-50 should not simply mean splitting bills or dividing financial expenses between partners.
Instead, she believes the concept should extend to responsibilities at home, including childcare, cooking and other duties involved in building a family.
“If we do 50-50 according to me, if I’m bathing the kids, you should be in the kitchen. If I’m cooking, take care of the kids and play with them.”
Doreen argued that financial contribution should not automatically mean one partner is exempt from responsibilities around the home.
For her, sharing the workload is an important part of what an equal partnership would look like.

She further addressed men who may be uncomfortable with sharing household duties, advising them to embrace the traditional provider role in their relationships instead.
“If you don’t want to be despised, make money as a man or stay single.”
Her comments also extended to how women prepare their daughters for relationships.
Doreen encouraged parents to teach their daughters how to navigate relationships where a partner may not contribute equally to building a home.
“Train your kids how to survive with these men who are lazy and how to build them.”
She also cautioned that women can invest heavily in supporting and helping a partner build his life, only for the relationship to eventually end.
Her remarks come shortly after she sparked another conversation about relationships with her stance on dating financially unstable men, where she defended her right to set personal standards for the kind of partner she wants.
Doreen’s latest comments add another layer to her views on relationships, with the media personality questioning whether “50-50” should be measured by money alone or by how both partners contribute to everyday family life.
