Ugandan singer Irene Ntale has shared an emotional message about her journey toward motherhood, expressing the pain of wanting children while facing difficulties conceiving and condemning the insensitive comments women often endure over childbearing.
In a now-deleted TikTok post, the singer described the emotional toll of trying to prepare her body for conception while dealing with what she portrayed as a difficult personal period. She also questioned why society continues to judge women who do not have children, without knowing what they may be experiencing privately.
“Life is so weird! You wake up one day and you want to have kids and then your body isn’t in position to do it for you just yet and then you try your best and get it to heal and then while it’s chaos and storms people still shame you for not having children!” Ntale wrote.
The singer, who celebrated her wedding about a year ago, also highlighted the hurtful remarks sometimes directed at married women who have not yet welcomed children.
“Bagamba Mbu ohhh bakuwasa naye nga Tewali bana! People really assume the position of God! Wow! God hold me! Cz tonight is exceptionally difficult,” she added.
Her message brought attention to the pressure women can face when expectations around marriage and motherhood become a source of public judgment. Ntale’s words also reflected the emotional difficulty of navigating a deeply personal journey while feeling that other people are scrutinising the outcome.

Following the post, several public figures, including fellow musicians, offered messages of support and encouragement.
Singer A Pass sent Ntale a reassuring message, expressing hope that her situation would improve.
“Sorry mukwano, all will be well no matter what the case maybe,” he wrote.
Vivian Tendo also shared a heartfelt message, encouraging Ntale to hold on through the difficult moments and expressing hope that she would eventually look back on them with happiness.
“My Irene, I pray that one day you’ll look back at these painful moments with tears of joy because God turned your prayers into a beautiful testimony. Until then, may He give you strength on the hardest days and peace when the world feels unkind. I’m rooting for you wholeheartedly,” she wrote.
Fellow singer Julie Jean offered similar encouragement, expressing confidence that Ntale would have children while criticising the tendency to make insensitive comments about other people’s circumstances.
“It’s well Irene, you will have children. People always talk about anything even about the kid that is not born yet. You will have kids IJN,” she said.
Nalongo Lewis also encouraged the singer not to allow society’s judgment to undermine her sense of worth, expressing faith that motherhood would come at the right time.
“My love, God will give you children at the right time. He knows the plans He has for us and He is never too late. You’re gonna be an amazing mother and all this noise will one day fade away,” she wrote.
The messages of support followed Ntale’s candid account of a subject that can be deeply personal for many women. Her post also highlighted the distinction between offering encouragement and placing expectations on someone whose circumstances may not be fully understood by others.
Although the singer’s message has since been deleted, the statements included in the available account show how she described the emotional weight of her experience and the pressure surrounding childbearing.
Ntale has not provided further details in the material available about her current circumstances. Her message, however, underscores why conversations about motherhood require sensitivity, particularly when the challenges involved are not visible to the public.
