Flavia Tumusiime has publicly disputed Kasuku’s account of a meeting allegedly held to discuss renewing his contract at Nation Media Group (NMG), prompting the media personality to challenge her denial and demand clarification.
The exchange centres on Kasuku’s departure from Dembe FM and Spark TV, two NMG-owned media platforms, and his account of what happened during discussions about his contract.
Speaking on a podcast, Kasuku claimed that Flavia contacted him to discuss renewing his contract but subsequently instructed the company’s head of security not to allow him onto the premises.

“Flavia Tumusiime called me for talks to renew my contract but she turned around and allegedly told the head of security not to let me into the premises,” Kasuku said.
Flavia, who serves as NMG’s Head of Broadcast, rejected the account in a response to a post about the allegations on X, formerly Twitter.
“This is false!” she wrote, directly disputing Kasuku’s version of events.
Kasuku quickly responded, questioning which part of his account she was denying. He insisted that they had met at her office at Serena and discussed his contract.
“What is false Flavia! Did you call me for a meeting or not? Didn’t we meet in your office at Serena for almost two hours? Didn’t you tell me about the contract and I said I was done?” he wrote.
He also questioned whether Flavia had instructed the head of security to prevent him from accessing the premises, saying the security official later contacted him about what had allegedly been said.
The exchange has placed renewed attention on the circumstances surrounding Kasuku’s exit from the two media platforms. He was among the employees laid off during an NMG restructuring exercise in 2024.

However, the competing statements leave key details unresolved. Flavia’s public response rejected Kasuku’s account, while Kasuku maintained that the meeting took place and challenged her to specify what she considered false. The available information does not establish whether the alleged security instructions were given.
Since leaving traditional media, Kasuku has focused on digital broadcasting through his YouTube channel, Kasuku Live, where he produces celebrity interviews, entertainment discussions and coverage of trending stories.
For now, the disagreement remains a public dispute over the events surrounding his departure, with both parties’ accounts on record but no independent clarification of the contested details.
