Ugandan singer Red Banton has made an emotional plea to Lilian Mbabazi, the mother of the late Mowzey Radio’s children, requesting that a memorial ceremony be organized in honor of the fallen star.

The “Nonya Money” singer revealed that the late Radio appeared to him in a dream, urging him to ensure a formal event takes place to commemorate his life and legacy.

A Dream Message from Radio

Banton shared that in the dream, he met Radio near Nanganda, close to the Good Lyfe home famously associated with the celebrated artist.

“We want to attend Mowzey Radio’s memorial ceremony, and we get that done and dusted. He showed me something like an event for his memorial when we met around Nanganda. He was dressed smartly and told me he is fine where he is,” Banton recalled.

This dream encounter has inspired him to call for a family-led ceremony to honor the legendary Good Lyfe singer, who passed away in February 2018.

Seven Years Without a Formal Memorial

It has now been seven years since Radio’s untimely death, and fans have often lamented the absence of an official memorial event organized by his family.

Banton emphasized the importance of giving Radio a formal tribute, noting that his legacy continues to inspire countless Ugandan music lovers.

“It has been a long time without a proper memorial. We owe it to him and his family,” he said.

A Song from Beyond

Adding a spiritual touch to the tribute, Red Banton disclosed that Radio even gave him a song in a dream, though he is yet to finish recording it.

“He used to appear to me in dreams, he gave me a song, but I haven’t finished working on it,” Banton explained.

Fans of the late singer are eager to hear this new track, which is expected to honor Radio’s musical legacy while keeping his spirit alive through music.

Remembering Mowzey Radio

Mowzey Radio, one half of the legendary Good Lyfe Crew alongside Weasel, tragically passed away in February 2018 following injuries sustained during an altercation in Entebbe.

Fans continue to celebrate his music on social media, often sharing clips, songs, and memories, keeping his legacy alive seven years later.

Calls for a Memorial Grow

Red Banton’s appeal comes as a reminder of the impact of Radio’s music and influence, with fans and colleagues echoing the call for a formal tribute. Many hope that Lilian Mbabazi, together with other family members, will honor his memory with a grand memorial event.

“It’s time to celebrate his life properly. He deserves that respect from all of us,” one fan commented online.
