Ugandan socialite Shanita Namuyimbwa, popularly known as Bad Black, says she has moved on from the flashy lifestyle that once saw her spending millions of shillings in bars to impress people.
Bad Black reflected on the change in her lifestyle, explaining that her former spending habits were largely driven by a desire to prove herself and gain people’s approval.
“Back then, I really wanted to prove myself, but now I have peace. I have moved on from spending millions in bars just to entertain people,” she said.
The socialite, known for her outspoken personality and cheeky sense of humor, also joked about people she may have wronged in the past.
Her message came with a condition: apologies apparently have a price tag.

“If there’s a person I wronged out there, I want to tell them that I won’t apologise to them unless they have money,” Bad Black joked.
Beyond her approach to money and nightlife, Bad Black also opened up about her current relationship and what she values most in it.
She said the relationship has brought her a sense of peace, describing that feeling as one of the main reasons she remains in it.
“I am in this relationship because it gave me a lot of peace,” she said.
Bad Black also recalled being surprised by her partner’s advice about how she should handle people who do not reciprocate her attention on social media.
“I was so shocked when my man told me, ‘Don’t post anyone who doesn’t post you, because now you’re a big deal.’ I like the way he hypes me.”
Her comments point to a different priority for Bad Black these days. Rather than using extravagant spending to make a statement, she says she has found greater value in peace, confidence and having a partner who reinforces that mindset.
For someone once associated with big nights and even bigger spending, Bad Black says the most valuable upgrade may simply be no longer needing to prove anything.
