Club Pilsener brought its Club Canvas On the Move experience to Mbarara on Saturday, turning a road trip from Kampala into a full day of music, creativity and campus culture.
The experience began early in Kampala, where trip winners, content creators and members of the media gathered at Shell Lugogo before boarding Club Canvas-branded buses headed west.
Music, games and conversations kept the journey lively as the convoy made its way towards Mbarara.
The buses made a stop in Nkozi to pick up additional campus students, adding to the travelling group before another memorable stop at the Equator.
Students, content creators and media personalities stepped off the buses for photographs at the landmark, creating one of the standout visual moments of the trip.
The convoy later made a grand entrance into Mbarara, with the branded buses travelling together through the city before arriving at GKAT Resort.
By the time the group reached the venue, students and revellers from Mbarara and surrounding areas had joined the experience.
The crowd included students from universities in Nkozi, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Bishop Stuart University and Kampala International University in Ishaka.
But Club Canvas On the Move was designed to offer more than music.
As an entertainment and cultural platform, Club Canvas brings together music, art, fashion, technology and other forms of contemporary culture. That wider identity was evident around GKAT Resort, where attendees could explore virtual-reality experiences, gaming areas, live tattoo artistry and other interactive attractions.
The music programme began with Mac DJ before Riddim Seleckta and Lithan MC took over.
DJ Trizzy Vybz later joined Benjhi MC, followed by DJ Alza alongside MC Dreadlock Dziz as the event continued into the night.
Lynda Ddane and Evelyn Mic also helped keep the audience engaged during the late-night stretch, adding a familiar media and entertainment presence to the stage.
The energy peaked when rapper Fik Fameica took over the stage.
Drawing from his hip-hop, dancehall and Afro-pop catalogue, Fik Fameica delivered a high-energy set that connected with the university-heavy crowd, with sustained dancing, singing and cheers becoming a major part of his performance.
Mbarara-born rapper, singer and songwriter Truth 256 followed, giving the home crowd a performance rooted in his own musical identity.
Known for blending contemporary hip-hop with his Ankole heritage and performing in Runyankore, Luganda and English, Truth 256 provided a fitting local touch to the night.
After the final live performance, DJ Ali Breezy and Lithan MC kept the crowd engaged as Club Canvas On the Move moved into its closing stretch.
From the early-morning road trip to the final DJ set, the Mbarara edition brought together music, university communities, creators and interactive experiences in one extended celebration of contemporary culture.
