Ugandan radio personality and podcaster Doreen Nasasira says she turned down a Shs 360 million offer from a wealthy man who wanted her to accept his romantic advances, explaining that using money to win her affection is a turn-off.
Speaking about her dating experiences, Nasasira said her inbox regularly receives messages from young men asking for a chance with her. Some, she noted, insist that they can handle her despite their age.
She questioned what the men mean when they claim they can handle her, asking what exactly they intend to handle.
Nasasira also recounted an encounter with a wealthy man who allegedly approached her with a substantial financial offer in an attempt to win her over.
“I didn’t say I was searching, but a sugar daddy is in there, and he recently approached me with money. I don’t know why some men front money because, for me, it’s a turn-off. He told me he had Shs 360 million for me to say yes to him,” she said.
According to Nasasira, she rejected the proposal partly because she suspected the man might have been trying to prove something to his friends rather than genuinely seeking a relationship with her.
“Maybe he wanted to use me as a bet to win among his boys that he can get me at Shs 360 million? I can’t accept that,” she added.
Nasasira did not present evidence that the man intended to use the offer as a bet, framing it instead as her suspicion about his motives.

The media personality said she prefers a more traditional approach to dating, where two people spend time getting to know each other and allow a connection to develop naturally.
Rather than being persuaded by an expensive financial offer, she explained that she values the process of dating, including spending time together and gradually developing affection.
“I reject such approaches for health reasons, and also I like the old-school kind of way of vibing, where you take me process by process, go on dates, hug, kiss… like that,” she said.
Her remarks underline her preference for a relationship built through personal interaction rather than one influenced by a large financial promise.
Although Nasasira did not identify the man who allegedly made the offer, her account has highlighted her position on money, romance and the importance of establishing a genuine connection before committing to a relationship.
