Ugandan artistes Herbert Skillz and Weasel Manizo have joined forces on “Wumula,” an emotional tribute to late Goodlyfe star Mowzey Radio, bringing his memory back into focus through a song about loss, remembrance and the hope of reunion.
The official music video was released on the Radio & Weasel Goodlyfe YouTube channel, with both Herbert Skillz and Weasel contributing vocals. Herbert Skillz also handled production, making the release a collaborative effort between the two musicians.
“Wumula,” a Luganda word meaning “rest” or “sleep well,” carries a mournful message centred on losing someone dear. Its lyrics repeatedly call on the departed to rest in peace while reflecting the pain of separation and the desire to meet again.

The tribute remembers Mowzey Radio, whose real name was Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo. He died on February 1, 2018, aged 33, following complications from a severe head injury sustained during a bar altercation in Entebbe.
Radio’s death left a significant gap in Uganda’s music industry. As one half of Radio & Weasel under Goodlyfe Crew, he helped shape the country’s contemporary sound with his distinctive vocals and a musical style drawing on R&B, reggae, dancehall and Afrobeat influences.
Together, Radio and Weasel built a strong following with songs including “Nakudata,” “Lwaki Onumya” and “Bread and Butter.” Their music reached audiences across Uganda and the wider East African region, cementing their place among the region’s most recognisable musical acts.
The release of “Wumula” follows studio clips Herbert Skillz shared in early October, showing him working with Weasel. At the time, he described their sessions as creating “magic,” offering an early glimpse of the collaboration.
The new song has prompted emotional responses from listeners, according to the supplied report, with some praising the tribute and others reflecting on how Radio’s music continues to resonate. The release has also renewed conversations about musicians who have died but remain influential through their work.
For Weasel, the collaboration revisits the musical legacy he shared with his former partner in Radio & Weasel. Herbert Skillz’s contributions as both vocalist and producer also place him at the centre of a release built around remembering one of Uganda’s celebrated musical voices.
With “Wumula,” the pair offer listeners a musical moment of remembrance, keeping Mowzey Radio’s name and legacy present for longtime fans and a new generation discovering the Goodlyfe catalogue.
The official music video is available on the Radio & Weasel Goodlyfe YouTube channel.
