Ugandan dancehall singer Kapeke has revealed that he is not yet ready to hold his first concert, despite having released several songs that have enjoyed significant attention in recent years.
The singer has increasingly faced questions from fans about when he plans to stage a major concert where he can perform his danceable tracks and celebrate his journey in music.
Kapeke, however, says there is no rush.
Rather than announce a concert simply because fans are demanding one, the singer says he wants to take his time and only stage his maiden show when he feels completely ready.
For now, Kapeke plans to remain focused on releasing new music, performing in different parts of the country and connecting with his supporters beyond Uganda.
“I cannot plan a concert right now, but I have something special for my fans. The youths, the young ones, because those are the people I release music for,” Kapeke said while speaking to the media recently.
The decision means fans may have to wait a little longer before seeing Kapeke headline his own major concert.
But rather than slowing down his musical journey, the singer appears intent on keeping the momentum going through new releases and performances across different regions.
For Kapeke, the maiden concert will happen when the time feels right — not simply because the pressure to hold one has grown.
