Ronald Maro is officially putting a date on his return to Uganda’s concert scene, announcing The Great Maro Concert for December 4, 2026, at UMA Showgrounds Lugogo in Kampala.
The R&B singer shared the news on social media, calling on Ugandans to join him for an evening celebrating his music and the journey that has brought him back to the stage.
Maro, known for songs including “Genda Ewamwe,” “Kyokoba,” “Mubbi Bubbi” and “Anjagala,” described the concert as an opportunity for fans to experience what he called the prime of a musician who grew up in Nsambya and came from a humble background.
“4th Dec! For the Love of Ugandan music,” Maro wrote. He added that the show would allow fans to experience “the prime of a once prodigal son” who was raised in Nsambya.
The concert announcement comes after a period in which Maro’s music career has been on and off while he dealt with personal challenges. His recent return to Uganda has seen him signal his readiness to reconnect with the mainstream music scene.
Maro also reflected on the difficult experiences that shaped his journey, revealing that he had faced moments he never expected and lost friends along the way.
“I have been to places I have never imagined to be, lost friends on the way to where I am! I almost Left the world last year,” he wrote.
He said those experiences reminded him of what he considers one of the most significant things in his life — being Maro — before turning his message toward the December concert.
“ON THE 4TH OF DEC COME TO UMA LUGOGO we exchange this LOVE!” Maro added.
The December 4 event will mark a significant live date for Maro as he seeks to reconnect with the audience that has followed his music through different phases of his career.
For fans of the self-styled R&B Kyabazinga, the message is clear: Maro is back, and he wants the reunion to happen at UMA Lugogo.
