Socialite and deejay Sheilah Gashumba has addressed reports that she allegedly beat up a dancer at a Kampala nightclub after the woman danced with her boyfriend, Alex Bindandi.
The claims circulated on social media in recent days, with reports alleging that the incident happened at Club Guvnor, where Bindandi was reportedly spending a night out.
According to the circulating story, a video of Bindandi interacting with a dancer was allegedly sent to Sheilah, prompting her to go to the club.
The reports further claimed that Sheilah confronted and assaulted the dancer before allegedly giving her money to keep quiet about the incident.
Sheilah, however, has rejected the story.
Speaking during a TikTok Live, she said she was shocked when she came across the claims and even shared the story with Bindandi, with the pair reportedly laughing about it.
“Someone messaged me on Sunday on my Snap and I laughed at it. I sent it to him as well and we laughed. Where did they get these things from?”
Sheilah also defended Bindandi, describing him as a quiet person who keeps away from social media.
She suggested that his limited public presence makes it easier for people to create narratives about him because they have little direct access to him.
The socialite further questioned why she would put Bindandi in an uncomfortable situation when she considers him someone she genuinely cares about.
“I protect what I really love. He is doing proper business during the day with different people; he is not into social media, why would I put such a person in that kind of situation?”
Sheilah also appeared to push back against the idea that she would physically confront someone over the relationship.
“They do not have a problem with him but with me. How small is the person that I have to beat them up?” she asked.
The allegations come amid continued public interest in Sheilah and Bindandi’s relationship, which has previously generated discussion on social media.
For now, Sheilah’s position is clear: she says the story about her allegedly beating up a dancer over Bindandi is not true and that she and her boyfriend found the claims amusing.
