Ugandan music superstar Spice Diana has hit back at critics who have suggested that her recent boda boda attack was merely a publicity stunt.

The singer revealed that she was targeted while returning home after several days of pre-birthday celebrations. Footage released by Spice Diana shows the shocking moment a man on a boda boda hurled stones and pavers at her Range Rover, leaving the luxury vehicle vandalized.

Critics Call It a “Stunt”

In the days following the attack, critics on social media claimed that Spice Diana was fabricating the incident, echoing a wider trend in Uganda where some believe celebrities stage events to remain in gossip columns.

“I have seen some hate comments about my incident. Well, we all know when it comes to people in the art industry, you always have to wait for mirambo (dead bodies) to believe anything because our lives don’t matter—everything is a stunt,” she responded.

Calling Out Rival Fan Groups

Spice Diana dismissed the claims as baseless attacks from rival artist fan groups, noting that she is unbothered by their negativity.

“Mukama abasasire abalina endowooza eyo. Not bothered cos biva mu ba (artist’s fans groups). Teri ategera ayinza kubera nandoowooza yakyana kito,” she added.
