After more than eight years as a Producer, Imager, and Voice-over Artist at Galaxy FM/TV, Timothy Jjumba Omar, popularly known as Timo Pon D’Chat, has officially announced his departure from the Kansanga-based media giant.

In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, Timo expressed his gratitude to colleagues, fans, and the station that has been central to his career growth.

“After a whole good eight years and some months at Galaxy FM and TV, I’m throwing in the towel,” Timo said, his voice tinged with emotion.

He recalled the journey that saw him rise from Producer to Head of Production and the voice image of the station, highlighting the relationships and opportunities that helped shape his professional path.

“I leave Galaxy FM in good spirits. I leave as a person who is very confident and very happy because of what I have achieved and done. I have made friends and met a lot of people who have connected me to others, and I’m so grateful.”

Timo’s words underscored the deep personal growth he experienced over the years, noting how the station was more than just a workplace — it was a place where he developed as a professional and as an individual.

“The time is now for me to find my new journey. I’m a very big dreamer, and I’ve always said, ‘BBC.’ That’s what I dream about, and I want to achieve things that everyone can’t achieve. I am going to explore new heights. I am leaving to be a better person.”
