Vinka has revealed that there is one part of her home her house help is not allowed to enter: her bedroom.
The Ugandan singer says she has a maid who helps manage household chores, but she prefers to keep her bedroom as a strictly private space and handles the cleaning herself.
Speaking on the Her Health podcast, Vinka questioned why her house help would need access to her personal belongings, including her clothes and cosmetics.
“To do what there? To clean for me that she knows where my tops are? Or my cosmetics? No,” Vinka said.
For the singer, the decision is not about refusing household assistance. It is about preserving one space in her home that remains entirely her own.
Vinka explained that her house help plays an important role in managing the household, but that arrangement has a clear boundary when it comes to her bedroom.

The singer said she cleans the room herself and takes care of basic tasks such as making her bed.
“I clean my bedroom, I lay my bed,” she said.
Her reasoning is tied closely to privacy.
Vinka explained that she spends much of her time away from home attending shows and handling other work commitments. Because her house help already has access to much of the rest of the home while managing household responsibilities, Vinka believes her bedroom should remain a personal space.
“If a maid can enter my bedroom, what am I left with?” she asked.
She continued by explaining that the household is largely managed by her house help during the periods when she and other members of the family are away.
“We leave the house for her the whole time, so I have to leave something for myself, so I lock,” Vinka said.
The singer’s approach means that her bedroom becomes something of a private retreat from the demands of her public life.
She also connected that privacy to her role as a wife, describing the bedroom as a personal space where she can focus on that side of her life.
The arrangement does not mean Vinka rejects help around the home. Her comments make clear that she does have a house help who handles other household chores.
Instead, she has chosen to draw a specific line around her most private space.
That boundary may sound unusual to some people, but for Vinka, it is a deliberate way of maintaining privacy in a home where someone else is responsible for much of the daily household work.
Vinka is a Ugandan singer whose career requires her to spend significant amounts of time attending performances and other professional engagements.
Her public life means much of her time is spent in front of audiences, making her home an important place to step away from that environment.
During her appearance on the Her Health podcast, she offered a glimpse into how she manages that separation.
Rather than allowing her house help to handle every household space, Vinka keeps her bedroom under her own control.
Her explanation is practical: she does not want someone else handling her personal belongings, including her tops and cosmetics.
She also sees the bedroom as the one area of the home she can reserve entirely for herself.
The decision therefore appears to be based on personal boundaries rather than a rejection of domestic assistance.
For celebrities and other public figures, privacy at home can be particularly important.

Vinka’s comments highlight how even ordinary household arrangements can become part of maintaining that privacy.
She is comfortable having assistance with the wider responsibilities of running her home, but she does not want that assistance to extend into the room she considers most personal.
Her reasoning also challenges the idea that having household help means giving that person access to every part of a home.
For Vinka, the boundary is straightforward: the house help can manage the household, but the bedroom remains hers.
That small distinction gives her a private space within a home that otherwise requires regular management.
Vinka’s explanation ultimately comes down to having somewhere she can switch off.
With performances and other work commitments taking her away from home, she views her bedroom as more than another room that needs cleaning.
It is a personal retreat and a space connected to her private life.
By cleaning it herself and keeping the door locked, Vinka says she preserves something that belongs entirely to her.
Her approach shows that privacy does not always require a dramatic boundary. Sometimes, it is simply deciding which room remains yours.
Vinka says her house help can manage the rest of the home, but her bedroom is where she draws the line.
For the singer, keeping that space private is her way of protecting a small piece of personal life away from the demands of fame and work.
