Levixone Credits Bobi Wine for Helping Him Overcome UK Visa Rejection
Ugandan gospel singer Levixone has revealed that advice from singer-turned-politician Bobi Wine played a key role in helping him secure his first successful trip to the United Kingdom after an initial visa rejection.
Speaking during an interview with Allan Cruz, Levixone opened up about the frustrating moment when his first UK visa application was denied despite his manager receiving approval.
The singer said embassy officials informed him that the decision could not be appealed, leaving him uncertain about whether his planned trip would happen.
However, a chance encounter with Bobi Wine changed the direction of the situation.
Levixone recalled that his first attempt to travel to the United Kingdom ended in disappointment when his visa application was rejected.
According to the gospel artist, his manager had successfully obtained a visa, but his own application was turned down.
He said officials at the embassy told him that the decision could not be challenged, making him believe the opportunity was over.
While leaving after receiving the disappointing news, Levixone said he met Bobi Wine and decided to share what had happened.
The singer explained that Bobi Wine encouraged him not to give up and advised him to pursue an appeal.
Although Levixone had already started losing hope of making the journey, he followed the advice and began working with the event organisers to strengthen his application.
The organisers reportedly helped provide additional support for his appeal, including reaching out to local authorities connected to the area where he was scheduled to perform.
Levixone said the mayor of that area later wrote a supporting letter addressed to the British embassy, adding more documentation to his case.
After the appeal was reviewed, the singer said the decision changed and he received approval within two weeks.

The successful appeal allowed him to make his first trip to the UK, turning what initially looked like a closed door into an international opportunity.
Levixone is one of Uganda’s recognized gospel artists, known for blending contemporary sounds with messages centered around faith and inspiration.
Over the years, he has built a following through music releases, performances, and appearances both within Uganda and beyond.
Bobi Wine, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, is also a prominent figure in Uganda’s entertainment and political landscape.
Before entering politics, Bobi Wine built a successful music career and became one of Uganda’s most influential artists.
Levixone’s story highlights how guidance and persistence can sometimes play a major role when artists face challenges while trying to expand their careers internationally.
International travel is often an important part of an artist’s growth, especially for musicians looking to perform for audiences outside their home country.
Visa challenges can affect tours, performances, and opportunities to connect with new fans.
Levixone’s experience shows the importance of understanding available options and seeking solutions when facing setbacks.
His story also highlights the role of networks, support systems, and preparation in helping artists navigate global opportunities.
For Levixone, the visa rejection could have marked the end of a major career opportunity.
Instead, he chose to revisit the decision after receiving encouragement, eventually making the journey he had hoped for.
The experience became a reminder that setbacks do not always determine the final outcome, especially when people are willing to explore other paths.
Levixone says Bobi Wine’s encouragement gave him the push he needed to challenge his initial UK visa rejection. What started as a disappointing setback eventually became his first step onto an international stage.
