Ugandan pastor and former television presenter Edwin Musiime has announced an indefinite break from social media, asking for privacy for himself and his family as unconfirmed reports about his marriage to Christabel Nansubuga continue circulating online.
Musiime shared the announcement on his social media platforms, explaining that he would be stepping away from the internet for personal reflection. He did not disclose a specific return date, saying his online content would resume when possible.
In his message, the pastor also thanked his followers for engaging with his educational content, which covers etiquette, diplomacy, protocol, leadership and success.
“I shall be taking a break from social media for personal reflection. God willing, our content on Etiquette, Diplomacy, Protocol, Leadership, and Success shall resume soon,” Musiime wrote.
He added: “I respectfully request privacy for me and my family during this time. Thank you for following and learning from my content. God bless you all.”
The announcement comes amid social media speculation that his marriage to Christabel may be facing difficulties. Reports circulating this month have included allegations of unfaithfulness, but neither Musiime nor Christabel has publicly confirmed those claims.
Musiime did not directly address the marriage rumours in his announcement, and his decision to take a break should not, on its own, be interpreted as confirmation of the allegations.
The couple married in 2019 in a ceremony that brought together friends and family at Serena Hotel. Fashion designer Anitah Beryl served as the best woman at the wedding.
The couple reportedly have four children together, making Musiime’s request for privacy for his family a notable part of his statement.
