Airtel Uganda has revised its monthly data bundles, offering customers up to 150GB as competition for mobile internet users intensifies following similar price changes by MTN Uganda.
Under Airtel’s revised pricing, customers can purchase 2GB for Shs6,500, 4GB for Shs10,000, 25GB for Shs30,000, 45GB for Shs50,000, 100GB for Shs100,000 and 150GB for Shs150,000.
The telecom company has also introduced a 30GB bundle for Shs26,000, although the package is subject to a daily usage limit of 1GB.
Airtel’s New 30-Day Bundles
All the listed Airtel bundles are valid for 30 days.
Customers can purchase the packages through the MyAirtel app or by dialling 1002*2#.
The 30GB package provides a total of 30GB over the validity period, but customers cannot use more than 1GB in a single day.
Airtel and MTN Prices Compared
Airtel’s changes follow revised data bundle prices introduced by MTN Uganda in August 2026.
MTN’s revised packages include 2GB for Shs6,500, 4GB for Shs10,000, 20GB for Shs26,000, 45GB for Shs50,000, 100GB for Shs100,000 and 200GB for Shs170,000.
At the Shs26,000 price point, Airtel offers 30GB compared with MTN’s 20GB. However, Airtel’s package limits usage to 1GB per day.
The two telecom companies have matching prices for several packages, including 2GB at Shs6,500, 4GB at Shs10,000, 45GB at Shs50,000 and 100GB at Shs100,000.

Competition for Mobile Internet Users
The revised packages come as Airtel and MTN compete for customers in Uganda’s mobile internet market.
Both companies have adjusted prices and data allocations across several monthly packages, giving consumers different options depending on their usage needs.
Mobile internet is increasingly used for business, communication, education and entertainment, making data pricing an important consideration for customers.
