Ugandan singer and TikTok personality Winnie Wa Mummy has revealed that accounting would have been her career of choice if she had not ventured into music and the limelight.
Speaking to Flavia Namulindwa, Winnie explained that her career aspirations changed as she grew older, but accounting remained the profession she admired most.
Although music currently takes up much of her time, the singer said she has not given up on the idea of returning to school and pursuing her academic ambitions.
Winnie Wa Mummy Says She Has Not Abandoned Accounting Dream
Winnie believes advances in technology have made it easier to pursue education without necessarily putting her music career on hold.
“We are still there and it’s possible to pursue it again. Music is a full-time job, but I’m the engine,” she joked.
Her remarks suggest she sees her music career and education as goals that could coexist, provided she manages her time effectively.
Rather than viewing her professional commitments as a barrier, Winnie said she believes she can organise her schedule to accommodate recording sessions, school, family and friends.

How Winnie Plans to Balance Music and School
The singer explained that she could dedicate specific days to working in the studio, allowing her to record several songs before focusing on other responsibilities.
“I can give myself two days in the studio and do five songs, then this other time I can balance myself and give myself, family and friends time, and then school,” she said.
The approach would allow her to concentrate on music production during designated periods while reserving other parts of her schedule for education and personal life.
Winnie did not announce a specific date for enrolling in an accounting programme, but her comments indicate that the ambition remains part of her future plans.
Her experience also highlights the possibility of pursuing interests beyond an established entertainment career. While music remains her full-time occupation, she appears determined to keep the door open to a different professional path.
For now, Winnie continues to focus on music while considering how further education could fit into her busy schedule.
